About Iskenderun Technical University:
Founded in 2015, Iskenderun Teknik University is a public University, which is one of the smallest technical universities in Turkey and one of the few technical universities in Turkey out of 14 universities and occupies an advanced ranking and globally despite being a newly established University.
Since its establishment, Iskenderun Teknik University has adopted the principle of being of maximum benefit to its students with its academic and administrative staff. It works within the framework of achieving the goal of being a "global" University focused on technology and prioritizing innovation and entrepreneurship.
Iskenderun University is characterized by its low costs for the specializations available, this makes international students destination, especially students of the Arab community because it is distinguished and advanced.
Its student population is approximately 9.274 students, about 6.372 students including those studying at the undergraduate level.
Iskenderun Teknik University has 7 faculties, 11 vocational institutes and many master's programs.

It has a unique quality that sets itself apart from most other universities is its integration into the Business World program also known as the IDE. The IDE program allows selected students to work full-time in a company doing business in their field of study during the final semester of their studies. During the IDE, students do not attend any classes, but rather focus on the companies they work for, diagnose the needs of the company, turn this diagnosis into a project, and support the industry. It is worth Noting that the IDE is not an internship program, it involves working as a full-time employee in some companies.
Apart from the IDE, ISTE offers its students study opportunities in other universities across Turkey as well as in the world. The Al-Farabi Student Exchange Program allows selected students to study for a semester/year of study at partner universities. On the other hand, the Mevlana and Erasmus programs allow selected students to study for an academic semester/year at partner universities in Europe (Erasmus) and other parts of the world (Mevlana).
In terms of social life, Iskenderun is a modern city located next to the Mediterranean Sea. The temperature is generally mild throughout the year. People from different ethnic backgrounds live in Iskenderun. In this sense, Iskenderun is multicultural. Iskenderun is also a unique city with shopping malls, coastline, education and entertainment centers, and holiday destinations. Cultural activities that attract people from different backgrounds take place regularly in the city and life continues even after working hours.
