About Sanliurfa:
Şanlıurfa, where Harran University is located, is one of the oldest cities in Anatolia where its history dates back to eleven thousand years, Şanlıurfa is located in the region called the Fertile Crescent in historical sources, and it has a wide cultural heritage as it is located at the intersection of the Anatolia region rich in Mesopotamian civilization, the small city of Harran, which gave his University a name, 44 kilometers away from Şanlıurfa, has witnessed important events in history, and this is due to the history of Harran, which was also the capital of the Umayyads for a while, but it has been an important scientific center since pre-Islamic times. Important studies in the fields of astronomy, medicine, mathematics, philosophy and religion were carried out at the Harran school which was considered the University of its time, Harran continues to attract attention for today's tourists.
Another advantage of Şanlıurfa is that it is located in the middle of the Southeastern Anatolia project, one of the largest integrated regional development projects in the world, Şanlıurfa earns big gains by fully realizing this project, while the University aims to raise the standards of higher education and scientific research in Turkey, it also performs a very important task in the success of the University and raising its social and cultural level and through scientific studies.
The University was established in 1992 and is one of the prestigious public universities and is considered one of the important universities in Turkey.
Harran University has teaching staff at a high professional level, and accepts international students and is loved by Arab students because it accepts a large number of the Arab community, and occupies an advanced rank as well as for its scientific research.
Psychological counseling services are provided to students by expert staff at the University, students take at least a midterm exam each semester and a final exam at the end of each semester.
Harran University has 14 faculties, more than 25 vocational institutes and many master's and doctoral programs.
1 Yeni şehir Campus:
Yeni şehir Campus is located in the center of Şanlıurfa, on this campus, there is the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Professional Institute of Health Services, the School of Foreign Languages, the Tomer Building, and the public Housing for Girls.
2 Osman Bey's main campus:
The central campus of the University was built on a land area of 27,000 dunums on the highway, and includes the faculties of Science, Arts, Engineering, Economics, Administrative Sciences, Religious sciences, Education, Agriculture, Health Sciences, Medicine, Fine Arts, Physical Education and Sports, and the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, and it has girls' housing with a capacity of 2000 students. In addition, A cafeteria with a capacity of 5,000 people, social facilities, an amphitheater, an indoor Olympic swimming pool used for the university's sports activities, and includes an artificial lake.
3 Eyüp bey campus:
Located 8km south of Şanlıurfa, it hosts the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Şanlıurfa Vocational School of Social Sciences, Animal Hospital, Milk Factory, Şanlıurfa Vocational School of Technical Sciences.
