Dicle University was established in 1973, named Diyarbakir University, and in 1982, Diyarbakir University was renamed to Dicle University
Dicle University is a public University located in Diyarbakir, not only served Diyarbakir, but has always been working in spreading education in the country through its research, which has been and is still at the forefront in Turkey, and has also strengthened its strength through its successes on the international arena. Today Dicle University includes 15 faculties within modern buildings and provides all the facilities that students and academics will need from A to Z, and also includes 12 vocational schools with technical equipment, 4 schools, 4 institutes, 30 research centers.
