Establishment of Marmara University:

Marmara University is one of the most ancient educational institutions in Turkey, as it began its educational career as a school in kacaloğlu in 1883 under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade and Agriculture and graduated 13 people in 1887, and in 1983 this school was canceled in order to reopen and improve it and it was reopened in 1897 under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and continued its educational activities to this day.

Marmara University started education and training with 9 faculties, higher education institute and vocational school in 1982-1983 and then the number of faculties increased to 21, the number of vocational schools to 4, the number of institutes increased to 12 and the number of bachelor's and diploma programs at Marmara University is 369.
